I'm in the middle of redoing two floors in my townhouse, and tomorrow is looking like the big spender day at Home Depot.
1200 sq. ft of Pergo Presto on sale at 2.38/sq. (reg 2.97)
Ryobi 12 in. compound miter saw $229
Ryobi 18v cordless combo $249 includes 1/2 in drill, recip saw, circ saw, jig saw, and if those don't do the trick, it includes a fvcking chainsaw (no sh!t)
Anybody see any glaring flaws in this stuff or the prices? The general consensus seems to be that Ryobi is pretty good, especially for the money, and the Pergo is durable and easy to install. I know it won't look or feel like wood, but it won't smell like dog/cat piss, which is  in my estimation, and I'm very much a "good enough" kinda guy, especially when it comes to this house.
