Home Improvement Advice: Recommend me a gas water heater

I need to pre-emptively replace my almost 15 year old Gas Water heater. Anyone have any recommendations for a brand /series to purchase? I know nothing about them, and would like to get something that won't cause me a lot of trouble.

How long will you live there?

If in the 3 year range get the hotpoint from HD.
If in the 3-6 year then get the same hotpoint but add the better anode rod to it and also add some heat traps (sold at Lowes/HD/etc...)
If 6+ Then look for a good energy star one from any of the big names.
