I'm building a home server for gaming for the local guys and i to frag on but i can't decide on wether or not i should keep my athy classic 750 or just move on to a 900 bird? Any suggestion between the 2 of these cpu's?

I think hte 750 With Lots of ram(256 or more) will do just fine.

I would then keep the tbird 900 for myself ;)

Ahhh... mikey it is on the same page as me. :) I planned on doing that anyway but was very tempted at getting a 800 duron in place of the 750 classic.

The home server wouldnt have to have anything incredible specs wise. The one running my house is a Celeron 300 (non oc) with 192Mb RAM and then a 4Gb SCSI drive...it runs a Half-Life Counterstrike server and a deathmatch server :)

Either one will be fine for a server, o csave over cpu and buy a video card!
