Our @home email has been down now for 2 days. In the Detroit area. Anyone else out here have the same problem? Anyone else live around here? What kind of crap is that? What kind of problem could you have that you can't get it fixed in 2 days?

@HOME has been changing the IP address of their mail servers ALOT... make sure you're using FQDN for the mail server, and not IP addresses..

I had to reconfigure my network yesterday and when I called, the tech I talked to said @home is having widespread outages. This is probably the only time when @home was having problems that weren't affecting me. Seems like my mail goes down more than it's up anymore.

Try this. Go into your mail account settings and change the incoming and outgoing server to:

mail.vncvr1.wa.home.com

Get your mail.

This works because all @home email servers are mirrors of the primary email server in redwood city. You can always get the exact same functions from ANY @Home mail server, so if yours is down, just use another.

If you still don't get working email this way then the problem is something different than @Home email servers and you need to call tech support, or email me ...since I was @Home tech support.
