Yesterday i bought a ceiling fan to go in my moms room along with the brace and a remote control. I noticed signs everywhere saying a ceiling fan install is $89.00 which includes installing the remote. cool sign me up, i dont have a lot of time to dedicate to installing it. I have done 2 others in my house with no problems.
So the third part company that Home Depot contracts with to do these installs calls me about 30 min ago and said the base price is $89.00, to install the brace is another $78.00 and the remote is another $14.99. WTF!!!!! :|
I told her $78.00 to stick a rod through the hole and twist it until it is secure between the two joist? and the remote is suppose to be included. her response??
"sir, i am one of the owners and that is what we charge"
ok fine, your price is totally out of line and goes against what Home Depot is displaying all over their ceiling fan dept. and the installlation of the brace SHOULD be included in that price and not an extra $78 bucks. so cancel my work order. her response??
"sir that is the prices we charge, YOU will have to call the store and cancel with them"
ok i will.
SO i called the store and talked to a manager and told him exactly why i am pissed and canceling the order. he said he was aware of the high prices this company is charging and is waiting to hear back from corporate.
WTF THEN TAKE DOWN THE FRICKEN SIGNS UNTIL YOU GET THINGS WORKED OUT BETWEEN YOU AND YOUR CONTRACTORS!!!! :| :| :|
