Hi all. I'm moving to a new apartment next weekend. The new living room is bigger than the one I have now. Want to add additional seating.

I want to buy either a Futon or a couch/loveseat (preferably a Futon) to match/go along with the couch I have now.

The couch has a Southewest type print to it.

What color should I get to match this? I was thinking Hunter Green. Any other suggestions.

I like my couch. :p

you'll have to be careful matching that green.. but assuming the new apartment has about the same color carpet as the current one, I think that's the way I'd go too.. aiming to match the frame to the coffee table as near as you can.

"Give blind people seizures" Bahhahaha!! I LOL'd at that one. :D

It's a "love it or hate it" pattern. I really like it. :) It's a hard color scheme to match to b/c it's "busy." Hunter/"Dark" Green seems to be the best thing...

However, I forgot to take into account the color of the carpet in the new place, which I have no idea what it's going to be b/c they are putting in all new carpeting. The previous tenant had a dog and the dog ruined the carpet.

Pretty standard colors in this city are dark gray or like a dark beige/moccha type color.

Thanks for the ideas.

I'm off to Job#2; need to make money to buy this new piece of furniture.

I 'll check this thread late tonight when I get home.

Thanks again and have a nice day. :)

That's cool man, I think if you just get a piece that has the same base color as the sofa then you'll be fine.

Yeah, get something green, or possibly buy a futon in any color and just put a "southwestern" type patterned comforter or blanket over the futon.

Well hi there, and good morning. Having a second job sucks ASS. But, it enables me to live like someone that actually finished college. *takes smack at self)

Anyway, two good ideas there!!!! Get something the base color of the sofa, or get a futon in any color and throw a matching blanket over it. I happen to have a blanket that goes with the couch very well.

Any other ideas?
