To make a long story short, our neghiborhood has been dealing with a new home builder over the last 9 months. They seem to give a rats ass about the trash and mess they leave, leaving all of us to clean up our community park and own yards.

It stops now.

I have given them 3 chances. This time I take legal type action.

Who exactly do I need to contact about this? The city? Code compliance? SWPPP?

We are just sick of dealing with this and all think it's time to get the right departments involved...our HOA isn't doing much about it either.

You are either a complainer or have a real issue. Pics or more details are needed in order to determine which you are. I don't even know if these are condos or free standing homes.

Free standing homes.

If having tons of builder trash including tons of beer cans, shitter paper, food/beverage trash all over the damn place makes me a complainer....then I am a fucking complainer....get over it.

Whatever I am, I want it fixed.

I don't know that building inspectors will do much. I've never heard of anyone failing an inspection due to mess.

Is the home being built for an owner, or is the builder speculating? If there's an owner, go to them. They hold the purse strings for the contractor, and likely won't want to move into a neighborhood that's pissed at them.

You could try OSHA if the mess is creating an unsafe environment.

finally, there should be a state licensing board for contractors, they typically handle complaints.

If it makes you feel better I discovered the builder for my house decided to illegally bury the trash in my backyard.

Your situation sucks, don't get me wrong... But at least the trash is on top of the dirt.
