Home Automation/Security Solutions?

Hey I'm looking for a good home automation/security solution for my house. For the start of it I would like a system that will take pics and save them to a computer or post them online. I would like to move to a full home automation solution. Anyone have any experience?
 
x10 is a source, (more of a sales source for x10 products). I am looking for an impartail site that could incorporate x10 as part of the news/reviews it covers, but the latest and greatest trends in creating the smart home. audio and video streaming, remotes, lighting, wireless, home theater... a lot of the stuff you would see at CES. A community of users could share their experiences... ala anandtech or tomshardware for PC's.
 
Download Worthington Distribution's catalog and read through it. They really push HAI (homeauto.com) stuff but carry lots of other stuff. There are no good review websites, lots of personal sites though where you can look at peoples installed systems (home automation webring is a good place to start). Ncherry's website is nice if you like linux, search google for "linux home automation" and click the comcast user link. You can also try the avsforum.com, there is a home theater integration and distribution forum where stuff is discussed.
