Since HDTV has more lines of resolution than your average TV how does it compare to a PC monitor? Can I hook up my PC to a HDTV and get good resolution?
Next month after I get paid I plan on building my own Tivo system. I want to build an inexpensive PC with about 3 60-100gig drives so I can record movies, games, etc to the HD and then burn them to either CD or DVD in the future. My question is:
what kind of video cards should I be looking at?
are there any programs that can edit out commercials?
Finally one last question I'll be recording from a digital cable connection does anyone know what resolution digi cable broadcasts at?
