Home audio recommendation request.

[CPA]

Looking for a receiver that I can output to 2 different sources. I will use the receiver for audio from my TV to a speaker set in my bedroom and I want to use it to output music to a speaker set outside. Can anyone recommend a decent priced receiver that has multiple audio outputs?

I was looking at a bunch at Bestbuy.com and didn't find any reasonable priced ones < $300. I don't need anything fancy, like 7.1 surround.

Really? Huh. Even the lower end Denon receiver's all have two sets of outputs I'm pretty sure. Just quickly looking, the M.S.R.P. on the DRA-295 is $250 and it has A/B speakers. This Sony one also has A/B outputs and is only $150.

you'll need a reiver with dual zone capabilities.

any mid-fi receiver should have it - denon, HK, etc.

-edit- also, you really should be looking at 7.1 receivers. Primarily because they will have the dual zone you need. a 5.1 receiver doesn't have the extra amp channels to do what you want.

That's what I gathered from CPAs post - TV in one room and music in another.

I'm pretty sure the denon 1906 can do it. It's very common now adays in 7.1 receivers.

GAH! the only fricken below $300 one that I didn't look at. Thanks! I probably shied away because of the 200w output.

Not at the same time, if that is what you think I implied. If we are out on the deck or in the pool, I'd like to turn on the radio and flip over to the speakers outside. If we are in the bedroom watching TV, I'd like to turn on the audio and flip over to the speakers in the room.

No, you were correct, and I think the Sony will work.

Yeah, but you're not thinking for when you throw parties and want music outside and TV inside.


Even the lower line denons/HK will do it. I'd highly recommend you stay away from sony receivers.
