Home 56k telephone network question?

Hi,
may i know is anyone of you have home network by using home network telephone network card? EMm my question is .... do i have to connect my telephone nic to the modem ? or using the telephone NIC straight connect to the phone ports and dialup ? thnaks

Not sure exactly what you're talking about, but a home phoneline NIC is just that, a NIC. You don't "dial up" on those. What equipment do you have?

A home phoneline NIC doesn't hook you up to the internet per se. A dial up modem or a cable/DSL modem does, and usually connects to your PC via an Ethernet NIC. A home phoneline NIC (usually HomePNA) allows sharing between computers (whether it'd be for file sharing or for internet sharing, etc.).
