Different parts of the body heal up faster than others. You had it out for an entire day. What do you expect? Some people can't take their tongue piercings out for more than 10 minutes before it starts to close up - and that's after having them for a few months.

how long did you ahve the original studs in for ?

you're suppose to leave it on for like 2 weeks and then switch

I had both my ears pierced but they're both sealed up.

I've always wondered why the ex didn't want to take it out during those activities.

I had my ears pierced for a while, took 'em out during school for about a month and it closed up damn quick. No biggie, just get a friend to heat up your earring and stick it back thru, doesn't really hurt because there is already a sorta "soft-spot" and your ear is pierced again without the cost :)

Guess I am not the only "quick healer" here......

Still, $15 down the drain....

I've had them on continuously from the time of piercing to recently, which would be more than SIX MONTHS...

Maybe next time I'll leave them on there for a year or so.....

You can "re-peirce" it yourself. Mine was out for 6 or 8 months and healed over fairly well. Just get the stud, grit your teeth and punch it through. Only hurts for a second.

That must be your body saying, " Stop piercing me, I wasn't meant to have a hole here."

Stop being a wuss and push it through. My tongue healed after having it out for awhile had no problem pushing it back through.

Actually, I would think people who's peircings close up quickly are slow healers. It would mean an appropriate amount of scar tissue hasn't formed while the hole was forcibley kept open to keep it open otherwise, thus it closes up when whatever is keeping it open is removed.

Yup... it happens. My ear piercing closed within 2 days of taking the stud out, and it had been in 6 weeks.

Negative.

Tongue piercings are irritating when getting head. Its like there some metal ball bearing messing around down there. Kissing is kinda fun, its a little extra thing to play with, but for more intimate activities, I used to always request it to be taken out.
