Holy ****! (weather)

Whoa... that was unreal last night. My wife called, told me to check the weather forecast - she was 4 miles from our house and it felt to her like the van was going to be blown off the road. I looked out the window and couldn't figure out what she was talking about... it didn't look that bad here, just a little wind, a lot of rain, and lightning. Then suddenly, the wind picked up immensely. 1 of my kayaks was flipped in my yard from the wind. It was about a 1 minute gust of wind that was just unbelievable. It sounded like my windows were about to be blown out.

But, full-replacement coverage on the insurance, FTW (but with a high deductable). If my house gets hit by lightning, then for $1000 or whatever my deductible is, I'll get brand new of whatever appliances get nailed. Regardless, I have a tall pine tree trunk that I left up last year right behind my house. I think that would get hit before the house would.

The chickens are fine, except the one that was hit by a car last week. Fortunately, it was dark out when that wind hit. If the chickens had been outside, they'd have been blown away!
 
Oh man i been driving all day wasting gas with my top down listening to the stangs exhaust tone! Chicago weather has been great this whole week!
 
The weather was outstanding the last 3 days, except for a front or whatever that was that went through last night.
