I Googled White Supremacist after watching American History X, and found out that one of my neighbor is a White Supremacist free speech defender. I always known that Douglas Christie is a prolific free speech lawyer that has successfully defended one or two leaders of the KKK and neo-Nazi, but didn?t know the extends of his believe till I shored up some information in Wikipedia.

Doug Christie (lawyer) -- From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia.
Christie's more notable clients have included:

* Ernst Zundel, a Holocaust denier and alleged neo-Nazi;
* Terry Long, former leader of the Aryan Nations in Canada;
* James Keegstra, who was fired from his teaching job for including anti-Semitic topics in his lectures;
* Malcolm Ross, like Keegstra, a teacher fired for anti-Semitic activity;
* three alleged leaders of the Ku Klux Klan in Manitoba;
* Rudy Stanko of the World Church of the Creator;
* Tony McAleer after he was charged with broadcasting hate speech over the phone and online;
* John Ross Taylor of the Western Guard Party and Aryan Nations;
* Imre Finta who was alleged to be a Nazi war criminal and collaborator;
* Doug Collins, a late newspaper columnist brought before the British Columbia Human Rights Commission for anti-Semitic and racist comments;
* Paul Fromm, head of the far-right "Citizens for Foreign Aid Reform" and "Canadians for Freedom of Expression", and participant in neo-Nazi and racist gatherings, who was fired from his job as a teacher for his political activity;
* Lady Jane Birdwood, a British follower of Oswald Mosley and distributor of hate propaganda; and
* Wolfgang Droege of the Heritage Front.
* David Ahenakew, who has acknowledged making anti-Semitic comments in a 2002 interview with the Saskatoon Star Phoenix

I?m not intentionally trying to bait this forum.

How is hate crime considered free speech? Propaganda would probably be considered free speech.
I'm not clear on the issue between free speech or inciting racial hatred.

Ernst Zündel -- From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia.

In 2003, Zündel was arrested in the United States for violating that country's immigration rules. He was deported to Canada despite the fact that he is a German citizen and his permanent residency status in Canada had expired due to his prolonged absence from the country. A warrant for his arrest because of incitement of the masses (Volksverhetzung, offence in Germany including Holocaust denial) was issued in Germany in the same year.

Zündel remained in detention in Canada under a security certificate due to his alleged links with violent neo-Nazi groups. He was resisting deportation to Germany where he is wanted for hate crimes and was seeking refugee status in Canada.

On February 24, 2005, Canadian Federal Court justice Pierre Blais ruled that Canada could deport Zündel back to his native Germany at any time.

On February 25, Zündel's lawyer, Peter Lindsay, announced that his client would not attempt to obtain a stay against the deportation and that his fight to remain in Canada was over. Zündel was deported to Germany on March 1, 2005. [3] Upon his arrival at Frankfurt airport, he was immediately arrested and is currently being detained in Mannheim prison awaiting trial for Holocaust denial. [4]

German prosecutors charged Zündel on July 19, 2005, with fourteen counts of inciting racial hatred. His trial is scheduled over five days in November, 2005.

Free speech is free speech. If we start censoring everything we don't agree with, no one will have freedom.

i think that, as much as i hate to say it, that they should be able to voice their views, its if they do it in such a way that would insite others to cuase harm to any particular group. but then again, it could be that things might start off with just idiotic babble and turn into some sort of racial war...which is why opera is a moron, and burger king can't have ice cream cuz it calls for jihad.
