so i decided to have a shot of it. god that was harsh.

Yeah, that vodka pretty much sucks. I prefer Svedka or TIto's for cheap stuff anyday. Although for some reason, Skyy makes a better limoncello even though I like it less for mixes.

Ketel One works for better stuff.

Smirnoff is better than Bowman's and Aristocrat!

All vodkas Fullmetal Chocobo listed are good. I would add Absolut (very good flavors) or Teton Glacier Potato vodka.

Run it through a Brita a few times and you'll never know the difference.

Did they try it last? Because any alcohol you taste while sloshed tastes great. They must have swallowed.

I know you're joking but many may not. MythBusters anyone? Filters will cost you more and will not improve the POPOV in the long run Pilgrim ;)

You're better off buying good vodka to start with. No worries mate!

Studies have been done confirming this.

Confirming what?

1--- You buy $20-$60. in filters to improve $10.00 vodka.

2--- Use the money to buy better vodka instead of filtering the cheap crap.

3--- Uh..... WHAT?

If you're going to drink vodka straight, try Belvedere. It's the only vodka I'll use for a vodka gimlet.

Actually, it's the only vodka I'll buy now. Hands down it's the best vodka out there. Why Grey Goose is more popular confuses me. It costs the same yet it's not nearly as smooth.

After a few years of drinking rail vodka during college, I can't touch any vodka straight anymore. Only stuff I can handle is the mixed crap.

Can handle rum, all whiskeys, and pretty much anything else besides tequila just fine though.

I've done this before. It does make the vodka taste smoother. I don't know if it's better, but it's more bearable for me.

You know, Smirnoff isn't that bad. There have been many blind tests done and while Smirnoff may not always come out as #1, it comes out near the top.

If you want to be safe, Ketel One, Stoli, Belvedere and Grey Goose are all excellent choices.

For those who say Smirnoff sucks, I think you need to think again. Spend your time making fun of Popov first.

I'm sipping on some Raspberry Smirnoff vodka right now. Not the greatest, but it's certainly not bad.

On the rocks?? No way. Vodka should be kept in the freezer, and poured straight.

Bad news, guys, Smirnoff is what vodka is supposed to taste like. Just ask the Russians. This flavorless ultra-smooth vodka thing is a relatively recent trend.

Personally, I only use vodka for mixes. Straight is what whiskey is for.
