i cross the border and an experienced doctor in a very high tech and clean environment with purified water, cleaning costs $35, border crossing fees 4 bucks (to and from) so grand total is $39 ok ok so i eat some tacos before going to dentist that's 10 bucks added to that.

I dunno - this is exactly the reason I have dental insurance.

The newest dental scam is that the 'free' cleaning is not what you need. You need a deep cleaning that insurance doesn't cover.

Oddly the time these two procedures take is roughly the same.

Deep cleaning? Haven't heard of that. Wonder what's involved that insurance doesn't cover. I'd like to see the EOB on it to clarify what the BS is. Some kind of cosmetic cleaning involved, perhaps?

Insurance loves to cover preventive procedures. It's how we make teh monies. I need to know!

i paid just over 300 for a cleaning and filling 3 small cavities with a shot for pain. so yah i think 210 is really high for just a cleaning.
