Holy Smokes, Yahoo Sports just got a redesign

Yeah, noticed it this morning. It's starting to grow on me. I like that they suggest changes to my fantasy hockey roster right on the NHL page.

boo.. yahoo tv redesign was the worst! I'll take a peak at this one....

I think they're progressively making the entire site suck. Yahoo TV used to be the best... now it sucks. This change looks similar to that change. 🙁

Marcus Camby is not playing today and is on your starting roster.
Eddy Curry is not playing today and is on your starting roster.
Chris Paul is not playing today and is on your starting roster.
what useless information, DEN, NYK, NOK aren't even playing today.

Are those guys by any chance on your starting roster?... Meaning, it's trying to tell you to take those guys off? Still not terribly useful information unless there's someone who is playing today who you could put on your starting roster. Mine tells me I have a bunch of empty positions on my starting roster (NHL). Yeah, but none of the guys on my bench are playing today...

i always use to check yahoo before for scores because it was simple and quick, this new monstrosity SUCKS.

is there another decent site for sports scores etc?

no espn or yahoo for me.

While I like the colors, the design is horrible. It reminds me of Fox Sport's site which I never liked.

Bye bye Yahoo Sports.

i liked the old one that was more text, and not intrusive like the espn design that's flooded with info.

Looks like all the other big ones, but not quite as bad as ESPN, yet.

Who dreams up these layouts? The same cookie-cutter design firm. Or some yahoo executive told his staff to make it look like ESPN.

I like it. What good is broadband if all I'm using it for is to view 25k pages? There's something to be said for the simplicity of an all-text site like Google, but Yahoo's more of a portal and I like a lot of imagery and info on one page so that I can browse. It also seems to load significantly faster than ESPN, Fox, etc.

For those that don't like it, there's a link near the bottom under 'Things You Can Do' to give feedback. I've used that before when beta testing their new email service (which is great IMO) and they actually responded to a couple of my suggestions and comments.

Yahoo Sports Feedback

Maybe they can eventually have a 'lite' and 'full' version (or something like that) so that can people can choose their interface? I know Yahoo usually has some of the best mobile-formatted sites going.

Because there are already a ton of sites (ESPN.com and SI.com come to mind) that deliver sports that way.

It's useful for rotisserie leagues.

CBSSportsline is pretty clean. I like their gamecast over anyone else's.
