HOLY SHIIT Athlon X2 second core not detected

so i power up my computer thats running an x2 3800+ with xp x64 pro today and bam, my second core of my X2 has disappeared. x64 showed dialogues about first detecting a x64 uniprocessor pc, then a multiprocessor pc, and then back to a uniprocessor pc. this is bs, anyone got a solution?
 
I haven't used XP64, but when I installed XP I had to flash my Award BIOS to F8 before the second processor was recognized. Maybe you have a similar problem.
