Dude, I swear to god I just heard a train whistle.... The problem is, 1. I never ever heard a train whistle from where I live IN MY LIFE! There haven't been train tracks anywhere near since the 18-- and my computer speakers are OFF! WTFBBQ!

maybe there was something on the tracks..

the closest trains to my house growing up were the Tropicana orange trains.. and seldom heard a whistle - but every once in a while, I could hear it loud and clear.. and my house was ~5mi from Tropicana

you can buy train horns and mount them on your car/truck, some of the videos are pretty funny.

Oh yea, I remember that... It's very possible that that happened. Though it seems pretty unlikely for some one to have that in my area or at all.

The closest train tracks I can think of would be over 20 miles away at least so....

I'm guessing there's a train track that's seldom used in your part of the world, or they tend to run through town during daylight hours when you are at work/school.

Ain't no train, it's probably just a breeze passing through an object that made a sound very similar to a train whistle.

Could it be that you, or someone else (like a neighbor) within your hearing, was runnning the very widely-used WS_FTP application?

One of it's sounds is a train whistle, that plays upon making a successful connection.

BUHAHHHAHAHHAHA! You've got to be shitting me, seriously, it's not like I live in a commune.. I doubt anybody on this street knows what FTP is...
