Holy sh!t.. there is something crawling around inside my LCD

Not like a bug crawling inside and I can't get it out, there is a very very small bug (2-3 pixels wide max) that I can see crawling around on my screen. Technically its not on my screen, because when I take my fingernail and gently scrape the surface of the screen I don't touch it. I even took a screenshot to see if it was some kind of virus but nothing showed up. anyone ever have anything like this happen to them before? it's really starting to piss me off.. 🙁

Well, it looks like we have a new species of a bug:
LCDoramus parasitus

well, I think I'm going to take the screws out on the back and see if I can remove the front cover and get the bug before it dies. anyone know if this voids the warranty on most LCD monitors?

Ahaha. Call your LCD manufacturer and tell them there is a defect, send them the picture.

And come on, please give us the brand of the monitor so we can compare to other brands.

Talked to a guy and he said he and the other people there had never heard of anything like this. He told me to hook it up to another computer and call back so I hooked it up to an old laptop and get the same thing. now waiting for support again 🙁

Hahaha... I bet he's going to tell you to set your wallpaper to a frog next.

i just called back and got another guy who sounded like he didn't know jack about computers, he told me since it did it on my desktop and the laptop that it wasn't a problem with the monitor, that it was coming from somewhere else. finally i think he started to understand after i asked him how could it not be a problem with the monitor if it happened on the laptop and the desktop? then he went back and said he'd never heard of such a thing and to call back in the middle of the day to talk to an engineer

keeleysam: no, I definitely didn't say bug 😛 i just described it as 2-3 pixels side by side stuck in black that were moving around.
