hmm..... wonder if it'll work w/ trillian.

It does. I was kind of confused the other night when I was using trillian on both my laptop and desktop at the same time.

You only see incoming messages on both screens, though, so one computer will have a weird looking conversation going.

I think this is a horrible idea. Now, I can no longer sign myself off another computer. I must make sure to sign off everywhere I go. It presents a security issue now, as if you accidently saved your password on someones computer, you are screwed, as you cannot sign them off if they decide to use it and pretend to be you.

good point. i think it should be an option you have to enable then.

also, i think you should be able to set your "primary profile" so to speak.. or rather, do the following w/ away messages and profiles:
for the second login, use the profile/away message there (does this already).
when the second login closes, revert back to whatever the first login was (this, it does not do).

I was in an internet cafe in Ireland a couple weeks ago and I think I left myself signed onto a computer there because I keep getting that AOL system message and I see my name as signed on when I use a different screen name. I could've sworn I unchecked the "save password" and "auto-login" boxes when I used it. Argh this is going to be fun trying to get me signed off of that one. Apparently you can have more than 2, as I signed on at 3 other computers simultaneously in hopes of kicking the original one off, but that didn't work - it just said I was signed on at 4 locations...
