Yeah, I've gotten pretty high before... especially if I leave it running for a few weeks.

There's a hack that makes it dump the memory when you minimize it. Google it.

anyway, I've had that happen and the minimize trick works.

That's why I'll never use Firefox on my laptop, I'm starting to like IE7 a lot better now because of it though actually.

I use IE7 at work and like it too. Opera is still my fav though

I'm on version 1.5.0.7 and it's more prone to crashing than the old versions. Various sites cause the crash.

I've never used over 250,000k in FF.

I've just been shutting down FF when I'm done with it, as opposed to leaving open multiple tabs. If I do happen to do that overnight, I'll read them before restarting FF for some more browsing.

That's why I finally ditched it (that and it wouldn't render a couple pages I have to work with daily correctly.) Switched over to AvantBrowser and couldn't be happier.
