so i'm walking down the stairs of my apartment complex, and theres a yellow car there. no biggie i figure, must be that yellow vette. but this ain't no wimpy vette. as more of the car come into my view i see the dancing horse on the grill and exclaim "holy fsck!" and run down the stairs to gaze lovingly at this exotic beauty. then i run back upstairs to look for my roommate's digicam and dasm! hes hidden it!

dude just left... i was out on my porch listening to it... that is how and engine should sound. just a sweet mid range whine, almost like a turbine... oozed power... my day is now complete. nothing better could possibly happen. even if i suddenly had two chicks at once the highpoint was that ferrari.

small cockpit? I've been driven in a 456GT (is that it?) and an F355 F1..

I just have to say.. the 456 was really nice.. smooth.. but the f355 had sick power.. and that f1 shifting is amazing.. the closest thing ive been in was a '98 911 and, well damn.. it's an F355!

so loud and fierce.. i swear i nut right there when my uncle drove up to me in it.

One of my favorite Ferrari close encounters was in Manhattan. I was walking down lower Broadway and heard a Formula 1-esque high-pitched HOWLING engine (well, in all fairness, it was a few octaves lower than F1, but it was much higher than you would ever expect to hear on the street). I turned around, and there was a guy in a red 348 Targa FLYING down the road at at least 65 MPH (for non-New Yorkers, the speed limit in Manhattan is 30, but there is a lot of traffic and essentially zero speed enforcement, so on an open road you can drive at essentially any speed if you are prepared to take the risk of an accident or pothole damage). I watched him for a few blocks until he blazed out of view.

I love Ferarri's. I remember salivating all over a Maranello last summer. It was parked next to the building I work in. I just stood there for like 5 minutes. I've seen a couple Modena's and F355's cruising around too. The sound these cars put out is the most beautiful music I've ever heard! I remember watching MT TV when they tested an F355 Spyder. Revved the hell out of it, let the F1 transmission do the work, and just granulated the tires. It sounded like some sort of blender. OK, I'll stop rambling. I admit to having a problem.
