if Miami loses Damon Jones they wont have any 3 pt shooters left
and will have to rely on Walker throwing up 10 3s a game just to make a couple
i dont think this was a good trade for Miami
good thing im not a Heat fan 🙂

go Rockets!!!!

well, i can't stand antoine, but it really seems like the celtics got shafted in this deal.

how'd they get shafted? I think anything is better than having Walker next year.
Celtics made out like bandits in the draft. And now they signed Scalabrine and acquired Qyntel Woods and Curtis Borchardt. IMO Walker was dead weight and I'm glad we at least got 2 (3?) scrubs in return for him.

what's the point of miami picking up jason williams? he'd be a backup to wade.... and wade plays 40+ minutes a game.

hrm, i guess he plays off guard, i guess i don't watch enough basketball.

and eddie jones to memphis! west must really like the guy. West drafted him for the Lakers, too.

exactly, the celts don't need scrubs, they need another star to go w/ pierce so its not a one man team. i suppose we're building for the future or something, but the celts never seem to come out with anything good from that.

i still stand by my original statement. Walker is NOT the second star Boston needs. In fact he's hardly a star.

well, as i said originally, i can't stand the guy. i think he's terrible and was totally in favor of getting rid of him.

however, i'd rather we got some star power in exchange - walker alone woudn't be enough to trade for a star, but if we threw in a draft pick or something, we could get a decent player to support pierce. instead, the celts end up with some scrubs, and IMO, leave pierce hanging.

Great, 4 ball hogs on one team now. Miami is going to be like Dallas when they had Walker.

Yeah, but put Shaq on that Dallas team and chances are they win it all.

Correction, a healthy Shaq and they would win it all. He seemed to just run out of gas against the pistons. Hopefully Mourning can help him out for the entire season to keep him rested towards the end.

I would bet Shaq's offensive rebounds sky rocket as Toine keeps tossing bricks. I do like Posey going to the heat, hopefully he can stay healthy.

i personally think the only reason the pistons beat the heat was because both shaq and wade were injured. they put up a hell of a fight with both superstars hurting, imagine what would've happend if they were healthy.

i think shaq is getting old

he's still the most dominant center in the league by far, but with all the nagging injuries and a long contract...

I particularly like the elbow pass he threw to (was it?) Ostertag in the All-Star game a few years back.

it was to raef lafrentz and was during the rookie/soph game, i think raef blew the layup/dunk but got fouled.

nooooooooooooooooooooooooo! please anybody but eddie jones!!! damm, that guy always gets jacked, first with the lakers and now with the heat 🙁 Come back eddie jones!!

Let me get this straight. Utah doesn't sign Oestertag last year. Oestertag goes to Sacto where, unlike Utah, they realize in one season he sucks. Somehow Sacto convinces Utah in a 3 way trade with Memphis that it would be a great deal to take back this walking dirt clod and ship off some promising youngsters?

If this were anything other than basketball I'd be calling shens.

Not to mention, as a Utah fan, THIS SUCKS!

wow, miami's got lots of talent now. it remains to be seen if they can all work together. jason williams and antoine walker have had questionable team/media issues in the past. i, personally, wouldn't want either on my team, but we'll see if they can step it up. the East is going to be very interesting this coming season...
