I visited the case cooling forums over at OVerclockers.com, and noticed that they had this. It's SOOOO COOOL!!!! For example, hold your mouse over any topic link on THIS page.

It takes too long for the mouseover to show up for my tastes. Unless that can be fixed.

something like that isn't to hard to do, but the additional DB load may be to much for a forum this size. There are a lot of features that are turned of just because of the additional load it would place on the DB servers.

It's probably a little harder to do with dynamic content.

It's probably not that much more of a load on the system... It's not like it loads that up from the DB when you put your mouse over the text, it's pre-loaded, and put in the source of the page.

They've had it for a while, but it could be useful. It could even help eliminate a bit of server traffic.

But it just looks like it takes the text from the original post and plugs it in. It would just plug it into that tag when you posted the message. One small script should take care of that. No clue on the DB demands it would cause though.
