I still like the old Excel one with the playing cards where you pick one and it removes it or something. That was a good one.

You picked a terrible thread title, by the way. This math trick was a total waste. Every combination works for this reason:


If you're suppoed to subtract the total of the digits from the original, you end up subtracting incrementally at the same rate you're going up, yielding these results:

0 - 0 = 0
1 - 1 = 0

4 - 4 = 0

All numbers between 0 and 9 go to 0.

Basically, take the first digit and multiply it by nine. That leaves us with all the powers of 9 between 0 and 81, a total of 10 numbers on which you will always land. Note that these are always loaded with the same symbol.
