I used to own a very reliable Creative 3D Blaster Annihilator 2 GTS and just recently upgraded to a Visiontek Xtasy 6564 Ti 200. I have never used antialiasing until now because I don't have a choice. With my new Geforce3 ti200 the jagged edges is so bad it is not funny! I have to use 2x antialiasing just to get the same sharp graphics from my old video card with no antialiasing. Actually now that I think about it my old video card looks better with no antialiasing than my new one with 2x antialiasing. What in the hell is going on??? PLEASE, can someone tell me what the problem is? I'm open to just about anything. Thanks in advance to all who helps.

When I wrote this topic I was only playing RTCW. I just decided to try playing game with Direct3D. Seems like all my games with Direct3D the graphics are perfect, the same as before. As for OpenGL, not so good. I tried reinstalling RTCW but I get the same pathetic jagged edges, I tried Quake3 and that one was a little better. So now I think just might be a setting in OpenGL that might be enabled or disabled. Can someone please reply with the settings they are using. I'm using Nvidia Detonator driver 21.83

Thanks

Are you sure your changing the resolution in the game to a higher setting? I believe RTCW defaults to 640x480, and at that resolution jaggies will be quite noticable. Try increasing it to 1024x768 or higher.

RCTW is one of the best looking games around, shouldn't be much jaggies.

Double check the game settings and make sure they're the same as they were before you switched cards. Some games switch back to default levels after they detect a new card.

Happened to me with Half Life once when I switched cards, both were nVidia so I didnt even install any new drivers, but I still got booted into software mode, which kinda reminds me of the old fashion Nintendo ES ;)

I have my rez set at 1078x760 and all settings set to max and I still get those nasty jagged edges. I'm also having the same problem with Quake3. All my games using Direct3D are all working fine. Got to be something wrong with my winxp registry.
