Hmm, i leave for port orford tomorrow for 5 days. Hopefully that will kick up the waves for me, i NEED to surf!

Well, you might have felt something, the UGGS seismographs detect something as of 11:08 to about 11:11. Still, nothing in Salem.

3.9? I'm surprised I didn't feel that, that's about the threshold where it's visibly noticeable. On a side note, I'm now taking bets on The Big One. ;)

Because the seismological record says that we should get a Big One every 500 years or so(the exact period escapes me), and we're almost past due for one now.

Theory of Isostatic Rebound. Two plates rub together and catch, pressure builds until they collapse and all of the built up static energy goes kinetic, and whammo all of the energy is released in one big go instead of gradually.
