HOLY $H!%!! Have you ever thought you fried your system??

Well I just did. Thought I fried my system that is. Relieved to say that I didn't.

I had to tell somebody. I just got home, nobody else is here, so I sit down for a nice game of RTCW. Crank the volume up full blast and have at it. BTW, I have an audigy hooked up to a mini home stereo w/speakers as well as some JBL satellites.

So into the game I go, I'm in the castle, I see a dead zombie guy and blat..blat..blat..blat..blat I blast away at him, then I hear a pfssft... and smell .(sniff,sniff) . .circuitry?. . . fried circuitry?!? oh crap!. .(sniff, sniff, sniff) crap, crap. . .do I yank the power cord? Should I get some water? ? WTF is burning? ?

So I shut her down, get on my hands and knees, sniffing the box and everything is AOK!

Everything except for my mini home stereo. . . it's fried. (moment of silence) . . .Thank you all for listening.

Wait a tic, this gives me justification to get those Z560's.

Well, yeah, but it's just a computer. It's not like it's my car or soemthing. I've always got my linux box, and if that breaks, I can always go use my machine at work. And if that breaks, they'll just buy me a new one.

Yes and it drives me fricking crazy similar to the "I didn't do my homework" feeling.... arghh....
the worst i've done so far is fry a cheapie video card and two power supplys..... knock on wood.

Yup, my present setup. When I first turned it on I noticed the temps going up and it was real quiet so I looked and saw that I forgot to plug the cpu fan into the molex connector. I went to plug it in hot and as I got the plugs close together there was an arc and everything died and wouldn't turn back on. Come to find out there is a breaker in the power supply that has to reset itself. But, for about ten minutes there I was sweating.

I almost fried it about 3 times. I've fried 1 before and 2 monitors( both monitors were in a 5min timespan)
My friend fried his about 4 months ago.
