Piracy you say? Tell us another one Capcom!
I'm glad its being released all the same. I already own SF4 and SSIV so I dont think I'll buy this, the Arcade Edition just doesnt offer enough that SSIV doesnt have. I am getting two custom arcade sticks made, but I think I'll use those more with my 360 than my PC, although it would be nice to have SSIV and all those older MAME games on the same machine.
which joysticks work with this game? I have a TE for xbox. The graphics are actually better? I thought the 360 was an accurate port.
Your TE will work on your PC, but it might not be as configurable as you like. I had a Hori stick which I used on my PC and 360, I had to use a third party unsigned driver (very difficult with 64 bit Windows these days) to allow me to use the joystick properly. I cant remember exactly why I had to do that.
If your joystick is dual modded (ie works on PS3 and 360) then it should be a lot easier. Set it to PS3 mode and it should be fine.
Well, the 360 is a lot less powerful than a modern PC. Remember, the XBox is close to 5 years old. PCs are an order of magnitude more powerful. The Xbox version is great, but the PC version simply allows it to use far more powerful hardware. Also remember that the arcade machine it runs on is most likely also Windows based.
what's the difference between SSFIV and regular SFIV?
i bought SFIV and had fun with it for a little but man my logitech gamepad sucks for it (the PS2/3-style thumbsticks screw me every time)
SSIV adds quite a few new characters. Off the top of my head it adds DeeJay, Hakan, the Korean chic (forget her name), Makoto, Dudley, Ibuki, and a few others which I also forget. But its quite a lot.
the Arcade Edition adds one or two characters above and beyond that.
SSIV also changes the balance of the game quite a lot. Rounds generally last longer because players do less damage to each other. Some characters, like Rufus, got nerfed a bit more, and characters like Dhalsim nerfed a bit less.
