I ordered a new system from Dell yesterday after seeing a post in hotdeals... I also ordered a few accessories (MX700 and a gamepad) from Newegg at about the same time.
I check my email today, and see that the computer has already shipped! Holy crap! I ordered at about 2:30-3:00 yesterday! Pretty impressive considering the estimated ship date at time of order was July 19.

The stuff from Newegg is currently "packed and ready for shipping". Looks like I'll be getting my stuff sooner than expected... sweet! :cool:

Update - UPS website says delivery TODAY - July 15!

yeah, i saw that deal too. had to restrained myself so hard not to click the submit button (it's already on my cart).

About 2 years ago I had a major disaster. I don't know what happened, but I saw a spark come out of my computer bright enough to see an afterimage for 5 minutes, and then my power supply crashed. End result : 5 hard drives dead, 1 optical drive, motherboard fried.

One of those dead drives happened to be a Dell OEM, and they offered a 3 year warranty on the drive. This drive was so dead that I shook it and I could hear something ratteling, and it smelled of ozone. They still replaced it, and even shipped out the replacement next day air :D

I do have to say I've been more and more impressed with dell during the last two years, but then again I've never had to deal with user-level support, only CS for replacements and high level support for a 10K+ station contract.

EDIT : BTW, the power supply was an Antec. They offered to pay damages, which in my book is yet another reason to reccomend them.

Oh yEA? Well I ordered a game from Ebgames and they sent it 30 MINUTES after I put in my order, I recieved next day afternoon.
