Holy fast freaking DSL install batman!

Talk about top notch install :Q Sheesh!

I put in the order last Tuesday, on Friday the phone company came out and provisioned the line, router install is actually going in today.

Egads. 6 business days. I'm impressed

Where I'm working they leased some new space away from their main building and it took like 2 months to get the DSL installed.

Took Verizon 2 weeks to send me my modem... luckily it worked 8 days before it was supposed to be turned on

Six days, that's impressive!
When we got adsl we had to wait more than 2 months (nearly three) but it worked right after being installed though.

The fastest I've heard is one day, over at DSL reports some guy said he talk to a Ameritech tech on monday and he had him hooked on tuesday and even had someone drop off the modem that same day.

That's fast!

Wow, transedge is expensive, prices seem to range between $79 to $199 per month. For that kind of money they better get you hooked up fast.

Earthlink had my line activated in 2 weeks and shipped my modem kit a week later, although I had the same modem from northpoint so I was up in 2 weeks.

Well, they are providing this to a business, so for business rates it's pretty good. They also provide a static IP, unique domain hosting(meaning my own domain instead of an AOL or USwest addy), and 5 email addresses that can be fully administered by the end user for the money.

It also helps because they can get me service where no other company does either.

wow mine took 3 weeks... the delivered my modem to my house and I did all the installation in the home.

I forgot to cancel my order I made with Verizon 1.5 years ago and they still haven't sent me the modem.
