I was exploring FlickR and I happened upon these creations, apparently there was a theme going on at a LEGO forum called "pillage the village" and these were a number of people's creations for that event.

They look absolutely incredible, makes me want to buy a barrel load of LEGOs and build something as epic as that.

First One

2nd One View 1

2nd One view 2

This third one wasn't in the competition I don't think, but it looks incredibly awesome nonetheless.

My advice is to just zoom in on the detail, the amount of creativity in all three is staggering, as well as the thought and the detail itself.

I miss Legos :( I could play with those things for hours, building spaceships and cars and everything inbetween. Creative toys ftw

The coolest stuff were the kits...then you had instructions and something to work towards, with a gauranteed result ;)

I usually built the kit the first time and then dissaembled it and built something else. Its kind of a shame, but none of my sets are in their original state. They're all mixed up, which isn't too bad considering I never was one for following instructions. However, I never had enough bricks to make something as awesome as that. :(

I was hardcore into lego's through middle school and sold my collection when I went to college for like $200. I'm 27 now and really wish I hadn't sold em. Classic castle pieces FTW :)

I thought this was going to be a followup to darkxshade's "36 oz of Raisins" thread.

Yeah, what I want to do is when I'm around 38 or so, is just order a bucketload of bricks off the net and make gnarly creations like the OP.

Then today I was Toys R Us doing some xmas shopping and came across this http://bionicle.lego.com/en-us...ors/8699_Takanuva.aspx and had to get it. Again, put it together w/o instructions and had a lot of fun. The second guy is right in front of me and staring at me right now.

I find bionicle blasphemous to the LEGO world.

I thought so at first too, but after getting it, I find that it's quite a tough thing to do and there is a lot of thought that goes into these.

I ordered a bunch of minifigs, tricornes, muskets, and sabers off of bricklink a few years ago to create my lego colonial army of doom. They were to be the garrison at Port Awesome, but never finished as I needed quite a bit more money that I could not justify spending. Still have them and one day I shall finish...

I used to be a big fan, but yeah I think they're kinda dumb.

Castle/Pirate Theme ftw. :D
