An X-ray shows the bladder stones that were first discovered in 1994 in the San Francisco Zoo's desert tortoise, Cactus.

The four stones were removed in an operation this week, in which a vet cut into the turtle's shell. 553 grams is 1.2 pounds of stone!!!
