I'm tired of this friggen Microsoft mice. I have an Explorer and it half works on USB power (now this is with THREE different chipset; KT133A, SiS735, KT266A). This is my THIRD one and the wire is coming a loose, and it tracks horrribly in Wolf3D in combo with the keyboard.
<< The problem with previous generation Microsoft mice is that when you moved the mouse quickly, it would occasionally lose tracking and the cursor/crosshair would become erratic. I have never seen this problem occur with any of my Logitech optical mice, and the MouseMan Dual Optical is no exception. >>
Same here with my Logitech Optical Mouseman wheel which is great for gaming.
And yes Logitech make the best mice, have I started a flame war ?..... I would not do that 😀.
I remember when I bought my mouseman, 2.5 years ago with my brand spanking-new P3-450. Honestly, the mouseman is soooooo much more comfortable than the Microsoft mice. Sure it doesn't work for lefties or people with small hands. But hey, I'm a righty and I've got a big hand (I hate those tiny mice BTW).
Welcome back to the light NFS4. I hope your stay with us is a long one 😀
The only thing I like from all of M$s hardware is there keyboard. The moment Logitech comes out with an ergonomic non-wireless keyboard I am picking one up. Hopefully something in Black then I would have an excuse to pick up a black monitor. Mwuhahahahaha

'tis a good mouse tho!
I think it'll be hard because I LOVE my extra 2 buttons on my (more recent) explorer. It's given me no trouble, either.
most people used those buttons for internet forward/back, right? you know that if you press the right button the menu popup has back and forward as the first two entries if you're not over a link or a picture. so the buttons aren't really that much more convenient over whats built into the software.
