My sister's idiot, alcoholic, deadbeat, woman beating, asshole boyfriend just stopped by to see her and her kids. he was here maybe 10 minutes and the entire living room reeks of smoke. not just like a slight somkey smell, but literally reeks like a whole bar full of people just smoked in our living room and rubbed the ashes into the carpet and furniture.

I walked out after he had left and almost puked as I hit the smell.

Fuck, it's now wafting its way back to my room.

well, my post said "why i'll never be WITH a smoker", but yeah, i would never smoke myself.
 
Yeah all the smokers love to bash us as having a holier than thou attitude about it but I wouldn't date someone who always smelled like ass either.

It's almost like they don't realize how horribly offensive that smell is to everyone but them.

Flame away smokers.

Stupid reading comprehension. I blame working all day and staying up late, but it probably because I just was not paying attention.
 
i tried smoking for a few weeks... didn't notice the smell...
i quit anyway. didn't notice the addiction either.

I have a roommate that's a smoker. It's horrible. Everytime he comes in the house the place smells like ass for a few hours. I am always opening the window.
 
Open every window, and unload a case of Febreeze into every nook and cranny. Quick, before it sinks in.

Explain to me where in your OP you address either of my claims. Granted I suppose it's not unbelievable that you have a sister, but I was under the assumption that if she was old enough to have kids and an ex then you must be somewhere around there, based off the the way you structured the post.

Don't know about anyone else that's ever smoked, but I can say that for me, it wasn't a matter of not believing people when they said how bad it smelled, it was simply a matter of the fact that I couldn't smell it myself, due to my smoking.

I'm happy to say that this past Thanksgiving weekend marked 3 years of being smoke free, after 23+ years of killing myself one butt at a time! 😀

Oh yeah, and now, as an ex-smoker, I'm 10x worse than anyone who has never smoked. I work with a guy that smokes (thank God government buildings are smoke free!!), and I've told him more than once, when he comes back in after smoking a cigarette, "Man, you STINK!!!" :laugh:

Needless to say, as a smoker, he doesn't smell it, and can't understand why it's such an awful smell to everyone else. :roll:
