holy crap that was painful

The walls in my apartment are some old, non-drywall material. Maybe plaster or something. Anyway, there is a nice crack in it running down the wall next to my bed, as you can see here: http://24.193.246.166/crack.jpg Now I reached along this wall to pull up a blanket that had fallen off, only to have my pinky nail catch the crack, and pull the nail completely back, almost off, then have the crack give(which you can see in the picture), causing the nail to snap back, with a nice little piece of wall underneath it.

I got most of the wall out from under the nail but theres still some in there, and holy sh!t was that more painful than it should have been

That crack is pretty big. You have any insect issues?

The crack is actually pretty small, and its on an inner wall...we've had a few bugs here and there but not any bad infestations.
