Please don't renew it. I'm tired of hearing your transmissions come in over the fillings in my teeth.

Stop putting it in your mouth then!

It's those damn radio waves!

On another note, my parents could actually hear the jackass next door to them through their computer speakers when he used his ham radio. I ended up having to put a filter on their eletrical line. They called me one night and said they heard voices coming over the computer. I thought "Great...time to put them in a home." Then I came over and heard it myself. That was a real "WTF???" moment :) You could hear him clear as day- even with the computer off. It was like he was having a conversation with you, but you couldn't respond back heheheh.

Ooooh! THAT'S what you meant...

Yeah, kind of like the olden days of crosstalk on phone lines. Sounds like that guy was probably using long wave, like 160 meters. That's about the only way electrical wiring would pick it up.

Should have complained to the FCC. He may be using higher powered equipment than allowed by law.

They did...there was something like $2000 in legal fees involved. The $15 filter was cheaper.

That's odd. For Amateur Radio infractions, non-Ham's aren't supposed to have to pay anything, and the Ham would pay only if they're found to have violated rules.
