He went to Vegas this past weekend and was playing the $5 slots at the Paris Hotel and won $5 Million. Unfreakin' believable! I'm happy for him since he just got married too and he's only 28.

In other news...my life still sucks!!!

I'm not sure. He hasn't shown up for work this past week. I just heard from one of his close friends.

I wasn't talking about you, I was talking about the newly married guy who won. I editted that in after your quote and was thinking the same thing you were. :)

Yea, I wouldn't show up either. After a nice two-week vacation I'd come back, start investing my money and start the business I've always wanted to start. Good times.

EDIT: I take that back, I would show up for a day or two. But I wouldn't tell anyone I won, I'd just start being a total ass to customers over the phone.

Customer: "Um yea, my mail is getting stuck in the outbox"

Me: "And I give two sh!ts why?"

Interesting, and in fact astute observation. We'd all like to win the lottery, but it frequently ruins people's lives.

What's the tax rate on that? Whatever it was, he still walked away with a cool couple million.

Yeh, that'd suck. :)

Hopefully he checks in with a competent financial planner and uses his new found wealth responsibly.

I'd say hire a lawyer stat. After ironing out all the legal issues (possible/future) then think about investing. :)

he is probably busy looking for a house in vegas so he might be able to avoid paying more taxes to his current state.
