Holy Crap: Mother reunited with her daughter after 6 years of presuming dead...

Your definition of audiophilia is wrong.

Thread jacked so soon?

That is pretty crazy - after 6 years of not seeing someone that you thought was dead can just come back into your life.

I feel sorry for the daughter.....

At the time of the fire, investigators thought a tiny bundle found inside was the baby's charred remains. It turned out to be part of a space heater. They never did find human remains, but never launched a missing persons search.

Did the Philadelphia authorities, criticized in the past for racial bias, ignore the pleas from Luz that her daughter was still alive? Or could they not understand her?

Where did these investigators go to get trained ? Actually where's their common sense? No remains = No missing person's search.. wtf ???? Talk about trying too hard to save the department some money 🙁

I guess insanity pays off?

I mean, really, the mother seeing a 6yo girl and stealing her hair for DNA tests? After not seeing the child as anything other than an infant?

I wonder how many kids this woman cut the hair of until she found one that matched... <shudders>

Well if a house burns down and a baby was in it, I think it's safe to assume that the baby died. It's a stretch to say "maybe she was kidnapped". This was just an extremely unusual case...

I was just thinking from the standpoint of science. The baby had to be in the crib. There had to be some DNA/remains or residue left in that vicinity. A baby's life deserves a little more investigation i'm thinking.
Maybe fire does consume everything, in that case, you're correct 🙂
