Holy crap, I'm MOVING tomorrow!

UNCjigga

Lifer
After living under the parents' roof for 2 more months of my life I am so ready to get outta here! Besides, none of my high school/college friends are still in Charlotte anyway--actually a lot of them are in the DC area so I'll be able to reconnect.

My apartment should be a LOT nicer than what I had in Rochester...that place was some sort of Asian immigrant ghetto (good people but bad neighbors--some of you may remember my threads on my roommate, and playing the guess-what-international-cuisine-the-elevator-smells-like-today game.)

Anyways, my car is all packed up and I've only got a few more things to pack tomorrow. I thought y'all can help me remember to pack some things I might've forgotten. Or at least entertain me with your whimsical posts.

Whimsical post eh?

My back hurts from getting my speakers and amp out of the basement for moving tomorrow. And not I'm sitting in a cloth lawn chair instead of my nice chair which is also packed up 🙁

Only change was the soundman title I guess... which was September last year?
I did basically stop posting from ~March to ~July though. Now I'm back 😛

Moving back to UW-Madison for another year.

Jello, I'm moving tomorrow too. Want to share a Uhaul?

As long as you pay

Hmm... I guess that's doable, although there's no longer any benefit for me in that situation, except... hmm... could your dad drive it for me?

Edit: Oh, and good luck with the move tomorrow UNCjigga. 🙂 Remember to pack toilet paper last, as it may be the first thing you need in your new place. 😛

Hey jello-man, off-topic--if I'm in the market for a sub $1000 home theater system (sub, 5-7 satellites, amp/receiver) what would you recommend? I'm not an audiophile, but I don't want crap.

Hey, you got that from the Camping DVD we watched.

Yes, my Dad can drive.

AV123 x-series + some basic receiver like a pioneer or something would be my first thought.
Sweet, those speaks look good! I was looking at one of the iPod-ready Onkyo receivers...is Onkyo better than Pioneer? Which provides cleaner power from the built-in amp??

I don't think it's going to make a whole lot of difference for one over the other. If one has a feature that you want, pick that one.

I'd get these while they're on sale and then get the R-30's when the go on sale aslo.

I have both the Polk R15's for my rears and the R30's for fronts and am very happy with them great sound for the money.

dont forget the porn! you think it's bad when you can't find it?! just wait till your mom does!
