I didn't really read the text, but I was ready to click on it and see what a 'cmd' window was doing on my desktop.

They're called Pop-IN, rather than pop ups. I hate pop-ins; especially the ones with sounds and use Flash cuz you can't click them away and pretty well forced to look at them in their entirety.
