Holy crap...gas prices!

Only a couple of weeks ago, I was paying about $1.50/gallon...it's now about $1.80! That's about $0.15 more than it was two or three days ago...

Man..I'm glad I don't drive a thirsty car...

They are saying gas will hit $1/LITRE here.... you do the conversion 🙂

its at $.86/litre at the moment, which is really high.

That would suck, my truck gets 13mpg (I know, Jesus is mad at me) and it would cost more than my rent each month to drive it. I guess time to trade in my enjoyment for a little responsibility and a mini-car. 🙁

LOL. I'll be damned if I have to pay $300 to fill up my SUV.
Yep you'll need a moped.

That's $4 CAN/gallon AKA $2.66 US/gallon.

Gas there is pricey. And since you're making CAN bucks $4 gallon to you is the same really to $4 US gallon to an American. Yowsers.

Gas prices up in Canuckistan are far worse.
over in the maritimes it's about 93 cents a litre for regular... that is absolutely SICK!
i was at 83 here in Ontario, but it's back downt to 79 right now. I can handle that, I hope it doesn't go any higher but I have a feeling it will... costs $40 CAD to fill up my car with a 47L tank. 🙁

Saw $2.09 USD yesterday (93 octane) but most stations here are in the 1.90s. Gas prices at a 2 year high according to the paper but I think they have set a new high.:|

Our F'd up Provincial Goverment just increaed the gas tax by 3.5 cents a litre 😛

It's all in the name of road improvements. I suppose someone has to pay 🙁

Gas is at 81.9/l but it went down to 76.9 😛

Cheers,
Aquaman

I dunno, the Ford Pinto was pretty bad. At least my SUV wont explode in a 5mph rear impact.

$1.50 - $1.60 here in texas for regular unleaded. Pretty expensive. I'm just glad I don't live up north where it can easily get to $2 or $2.30.

3 words: WORK FROM HOME. I will try and do it more often. The price was $1.71 for regular yesterday afternoon when I went to fill up my car. A few hours later when I had to fill up my fiance's, it was up to $1.73 at the same station. sonova...

Only at the stations that decide to horde it, and try to bilk money out of panicky people.
But it could get high, I imagine like maybe $3-4 a gallon, depending on what happens - according to the recent issue of Time magazine, if Saddam orders his troops to burn or destroy Iraq's own oil wells, as well as those of some surrounding countries, and dump oil into the Persian Gulf, crude oil prices could go up to $80 per bbl.(barrel, I assume that means) They are currently around $36 per bbl., the article said.
It says that something like that could cause a serious global recession. In the event of war, lets hope that the oil wells are secured.
I still just don't know why anyone could want to choose violence like this...god this is a mess. If we don't do anything about Saddam, and it turns out he does have dangerous weapons, it's possible that they could get into the hands of terrorists - they could use them on any targets, without any real threat to themselves, since a terrorist organization is not really a country - there could be no "war" declaration. And if they die fighting...well, they probably were willing to do that when they joined their organization. If we do attack Saddam, and it turns out that he in fact does have nothing, then we risk creating even more enemies worldwide. I just hope that they know what they're doing in the intelligence offices; I guess they do, otherwise, they damn well shouldn't have those jobs.
Ok, I guess that's all about the, uh, gas prices.🙂

I was kidding about the $15/gallon, but yeah if saddamn is an ass about this that's not cool. Waste of oil. Thing is Iraq is not a big enough provider of oil to make it spike to that level (I say anyway - I didn't read the article and I don't know much, but I do know that there are many more countries than Iraq providing the world with oil). I also trust that the allied coalition (I Mean US and UK) will get to those fields ASAP to stop burning.
