Press Release

AMD today announced Electronic Arts, a leader in PC and console games and the number-one game site on the Internet, is recommending AMD Athlon(tm) XP and AMD Athlon MP processor-based desktop and workstation computers for its worldwide studios. Electronic Arts plans to use these systems to develop and produce next-generation PC and console games for both the EA SPORTS and EA GAMES brands with franchises including John Madden Football, Harry Potter, and The Sims, and plans to implement AMD processor-based systems in their sales, finance, marketing, and administration departments.

Whoa, I didn't know EA was that closely tied to the Athlon/Duron platform.

EDIT: DOH! Repost. 😱

I don't like EA at all, their games never seem to have options, or work well with computers. just console games that are converted. I remember when if you had two CD drives, you couldn't install a game, due to errors.

<< I'd be interested in their video card selection too. >>

yep, I want to know what they use to test their games, because they're screwed up most of the time. Latest example: F1 2001. :|

yup, but they are the 2nd largest game company in the world (nintendo #1). that's a pretty big statement though.
