I had no idea how spoiled I became in such a short period. My DSL went out two days ago (damn Verizon), and I'm stuck on a lousy dialup connection. I forgot completely how slow this really is. This really sucks. :|

Our local CO had a DSLAM outage this week that caused us to have to resort to dialup for a day and a half. Our pre-DSL setup was a shared 28.8 modem connection for 2 people, and it was PAINFUL to go back... man, it's so easy to get spoiled!

Since I'm going home next week I have to put up with dial-up next week :(
And my parents wonder why I'd rather stay at school with my ethernet ;)

Last time IS the last time I'll ever have a true dialup connection. I have ADSL now (640kbps dn, 272kbps up). I'm never going back. I don't care if the grass turns purple and the dog jumps over the moon. I have a friend who doesn't have an option so he just goes without.

Well, maybe that's a little bit if an exageration on my part, but those are my sentimates anyway.
Guess I'd have a dialup of it was the ONLY way to go.

I'm spoiled on my DSL at home and ATM at work.

I first accessed the internet in college on a 10mbps ethernet line. Imagine my horror when I came home and my family had gotten a computer and had gotten online. My first modem experience....ewwwwwww
