Went online to view my SAT scores because I might need to send some of them to some colleges that i'm applying to (transering after 2 years in a JC). Scores had dissapeared online so I sent them an email asking what's going on.

This service is not available online.

We keep all SAT Program scores on file indefinitely. If it's been more than one year since your high school graduation, you can have your scores reported by calling 609-771-7600, during business hours, Monday through Friday. A Customer Service Representative will help you. You can order with a Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, or JCB credit card.

Mandatory Retrieval fee is $ 15

We will send your scores three to five weeks after you request them on the regular score reporting service; fee for the mandatory archived retrieval fee, and $7.00 for each report you send.

Do you need them fast? Rush reporting is also available for a $24.00 fee/$24.00 mail-in rush fee, the archived retrieval fee, plus $7.00for each report. Unfortunately, we must charge you the archived scores retrieval fee whether or not your scores are found.

$15 just to search their freakin database for my score, and i'll get charged whether they find it or not. How the hell would they NOT find my SAT score? I took the test multiple times and sent scores before, do they randomly lose scores all the time or something? Cost to rush one score? $24 + $15 + $7. This is insane.

There should be a law against this kind of crap. Consider the NY Film Festival. Tickets are $15 each, and if you want to get them by phone (CenterCharge) there's a $5.50 per ticket fee. I hate that word, "fee". I took the subway to get the tickets in person, refusing to get bent over like that.

I think you having to take the subway over to pick up the tickets is also considered you getting bent over.

So order one set for you and use your FOrward or Print button
heh, well most colleges don't exactly consider something forwarded by the student to be "official"

SAT score reprints are cheaper than GMAT score requests. So don't worry, other people are getting it worse.

why do you need to send the official scores in? every college I applied to just had me write down what i got on the APP

i'm not sure. Some colleges dont' even want the scores if I'll have completed 60 semester hours/units by the time I transfer, so I don't have to send reports to all my schools. I haven't seen a single transfer app yet that just lets you right down any of your scores, were you applying out of high school or transfering? SAT score is a much bigger deal coming out of high school of course.

comming out of high school

i never had College board send anyone anything, i started college in 2000, im done now
all the schools I applied to just wanted them on the app

the school i went to doesnt even require you to put them down on the app because they are used in NO WAY for admissions
