There is a chance that Carlos Beltran might be dealt to Red Sox in exchange for Damon and Kim. If this happens, and we know Beltran is a Yankee Killer... drools....

Our possible rotation and lineup...

Martinez, Schilling, Wakefield, Lowe, Arroyo and Foulke in the 9th

2B - Reese or Bellhorn
CF - Beltran
SS - Garciaparra (when he returns)
LF - Ramirez
DH - Ortiz
RF - Nixon (when he returns)
1B - Millar
C - Varitek
3B - Mueller

That would be an incredible team. However, it doesn't make sense for it to be Damon+Kim directly to the Royals. They don't need overpaid players like Damon.

I prefer to keep Damon. Beltran may be a Yankee Killer, but Damon is an all around better player in my opinion. Kim is worthless. Now, had it been a Beltran for Kim/Ramero Mendoza deal, I'm all for it. :p

Beltran is heads above Damon. He hits for much higher power and is a better base-stealer than Damon. Also, it's retarded to think that Royals would accept Kim/Damon for Beltran. They would only trade him for prospects and neither Sox nor Yankees have any. That's why I bet that Beltran will be on west coast by the end of this year.

P.S. Schilling sucks. I got him on my fantasy baseball team and he's blown the second win this year in the 8th inning. Also, his K numbers are down significantly. This, along with Rogers success goes to show that NL is a pitchers league.

Does it matter who's on the team when, if they have any shot at it, the curse strikes? :p

and no, damon is not an all around better player. Beltran is one of the best players in the game period, stat wise at least. His leadership skills havent really been tested, nor do I know anything of Damons leadership skills.

Oh yeah, and a near gold glover

I guess it depends on how strict you are with 'one of the best'.

Either way, he's much better than Damon!
