so you'd be evademan?;)

COME ON GUYS, STOP EVADING ME!

I never understood why the cops have these car chases in the US. Doesnt public safety mean anything over there? Or do they just dont know, that radio is faster than cars? Anyway, good that u have them so we can have the the "The wildest car chases" shows over here....

Supposedly the LA cops have actually agreed to stop using ground pursuit vehicles - let the helicopter tail the car until it stops or whatever, then send the cars in.

Did the media ever think if they stopped covering this it would be significantly reduced?
Add me to the list of folks who disagree with that. We know people that are fleeing are mostly idiots. Even then, I can't believe they are thinking "I'm gonna be on TV". From the reports on TV, most are thinking "I can't afford to get another speeding ticket." Or something else extremely stupid.

And even trying to put myself in their shoes--If I were fleeing the last thing I'd want is a chopper filming me... that's bad news.

Or are already on probation and can't afford to be hauled in again...

I doubt they're thinking about TV. I wish they showed that kind of stuff here in NY. Oh wait, there's no room on the highways here for a chase to even happen.

The second worst thing to come of this will be FOX airing it 80 times in a row on "Worlds Worst Drivers", "World's Worst Drivers 2", "Worst of World's Worst Drivers", "World's Scariest Police Chases", "Crazy Stuff", "Caught On Tape", "Best of FOX 2000-2005", "Worst of FOX 2000-2020", et al.

I'm waiting for FOX to make "When Animals Attacked the Drivers from the World's Scariest Police Chases"

Knowing FOX, it's been considered

Do you REALLY think these people who run from the cops are aspiring actors or something??

I find it funny that the majority of chases is covered by your media and if you think the media doesn't play a role in crime glorification then I feel sorry for you.

Have you ever seen these chases? Most of them end up in the guy getting caught. If anything, it should be a PSA for those thinking about ever running from the cops.

You're being very naive and I feel sorry for you. :)

Funny how a lot of the car videos I see on these things are from the UK. At least the version of these shows on TLC.
