haha, word... although it seems they did make it more controlable when flying; it was way too sensitive before.

I just kinda hop it along & land facing the enemy, then fire everything I have towards a general vicinity & hope it hits something

And OMG, the Scud is friggin' AWESOME!!!!

I hopped in a BlackHawk and flew over to the enemy base, lost control of the chopper, and bailed out and parachuted down beside the Scud launcher. I thought to myself "Hmmmmmmm"

So I jumped into the scud launcher and there were about 6 tanks lined up side by side with people running to them (right by the factory) and a couple of those 4-wheel ATV things rolling by. I hopped into the #2 position and hit the fire button. WHOOSH, and the Scud took off towards the warehouse. It exploded ABOVE the vehicles but it WIPED OUT EVERYTHING in that radius. It was so glorious I was LMFAO!!

I just finished playing a couple of rounds on El Amein. I absolutely LOVE the AC-130 spanning platform and I love raping tanks in the A-10.

with one shot its not as if u can walk it towards thte target?

It requires two people to operate (or one person switching back and forth).

There's a driver who gets the truck into direct firing position position (left to right). Then there's a person to aim the missle (up and down) and actually "launch" the scud. Then it arcs to its destination and blows the F*&K out of it. Anything within 10 yards on the map is instantly killed. Anything with a 20 yard blast radius is seriously damaged.

I don't have the game. So I don't know much about the MODs. The only reason that I post this is that I saw it on Gamespy. And yes, I am slow, but at least I don't have a potty mouth like yours.

Seriously though, Desert Combat saved BF1942 for me. I play UT2k3 regularly but I gave BF a try because a few co-workers play and run servers. I found BF too slow and wimpy after playing Unreal, but DC fixed that right up. Frankly I doubt I'd play it any other way now.

Can you play this mod and the original game? In other words, does it overwrite anything and then you have to reinstall from the CD is you want the original back? I love the original yet, but want to try this mod out.
