yesterday afternoon i ordered a new monitor from the dell website (19inch samsung, total cost was about $180) it had free "standard ground shipping"


so im thinking hopefully ill get it in the next week or two.... imagine my suprise to have the ups man deliver it this morning 😀 well under 24hrs from order to delivery, hehe and thats with "standard ground" shipping



as a side note i was curious how i got it so quick... so checking dell i found the tracking number and after looking it up i see they shipped it from atlanta, GA which is only about a 2hr drive from birmingham, AL (where i live)



i guess i like Dell a little more then i used to 😀 but.... i still would never buy a PC from them!!!
 
its the 950b

from what i understand its basically identical to the discontinued 950p and i really like the 950p... i already have 2 of them at work. the picture quality is very very good

the only things that some people might not like about them are the size (not talking the screen size, just the whole unit is rather large) also the screen isnt as flat as some people like


but hey they are cheap and they work great and look great 🙂

and at dell they are $208 (with free shipping and a $25 off coupon code the grand total was somewhere in the $180's)
 
I've heard nothing but rave reviews about the 955DF, is there a reason why you didn't consider that model?
 
Nice purchase. I myself have the 900NF model and i like it very much. Is the 950b a successor to the 900NF? or was that the 959 or something like that..i don't remember.

I got my 955DF from Dell for about $170 I think after rebate. Of course the rebate hasn't come yet...

And oh yeah, I had the 950b for awhile after the whole 950p fiasco, I couldn't stand it.

I had the same thing happen. I have a Dell monitor that went bad and rma'd it. I called them at about 7pm and had the monitor at 10am the next day.

I live in metro Atlanta though. 🙂
